Welcome to Holy Temple C.O.G.I.C!

FROM THE PASTORS' DESK

We believe that the church is not only a body of baptized believers, but the church is commissioned by Jesus Christ to "Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the Name of the Father, and of the Son and of the Holy Ghost. Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you and, lo, I am with you always even unto the end of the world." Matthew 28:19-20

Our prayer is that as each one of you will become inspired to further the work of the Lord. We prayerfully invoke the Spirit of God upon your lives that you may experience His love and that His church will do all that it can to help lost humanity and share His message of eternal life.

OUR STORY
CHURCH HISTORY
"And let them make Me a sanctuary; that I may dwell among them" Exodus 25:8

Thirty –two years ago, after a period of searching for a place to establish a church, the Lord led Elder James Gray and his father, the late Deacon George Gray to 611 Jones Avenue in North Braddock, Pennsylvania whereby the Lord called Elder James Gray and Elder George Stewart from the field of Evangelism to the Pastorialship. They brought with them a combined total of over thirty years in the ministry and nearly forty-five years of Christian experience.

In October of 1984 Elder James Gray established Holy Temple Church of Gold in Christ and Holy Temple Evangelistic Association.

WE DO NOT TEACH DENOMINATION, WE TEACH CHRIST AND HIM CRUCIFIED.

The church doors opened with the Pastors, their wives, Elder Gray’s children and parents Deacon George Gray and Mother Ada Mae Gray, and a few family members. Shortly after the doors opened they appointed the late Elder Walter Womack to work with them in the capacity of Assistant Pastor. The first member outside of their family to join the church was Jackie Jackson who brought her sisters Vivian, Darlene, and Betty.
Many have entered through the doors of Holy Temple and have established various outreach ministries and their lives have been spiritually enriched. Everyone is received with open arms, for at Holy Temple...

"Everybody is somebody and Jesus Christ is Lord!"
