Pastor Anita Tillman

Senior Pastor, Holy Temple Church of God in Christ

Pastor Anita Tillman serves as the Senior Pastor of Holy Temple Church of God in Christ. Her life in ministry began long before she entered the pulpit. She began singing at the age of five and has served in ministry since 1992, developing a strong foundation in worship, music, teaching, leadership, and service that continues to shape her pastoral ministry today.

She served as Minister of Music for Holy Temple and also served for two years in music ministry for the Church of God in Christ Western Pennsylvania Jurisdiction. As a singer and songwriter recording under the name Anita Tillman, she released the gospel album My Time My Season.

In 1995, Pastor Tillman answered the call to preach the Gospel. Over the years, her ministry expanded from music and worship into preaching, teaching, pastoral care, leadership, and community service. In 2017, she became an Assistant Pastor at Holy Temple.

In 2021, she assumed leadership of the ministry as Senior Pastor, continuing the legacy of her father, Pastor James M. Gray Sr., Founder and Senior Pastor of Holy Temple Church of God in Christ. She carries that legacy forward with a strong commitment to biblical truth, prayer, discipleship, compassion, and practical service.

Beyond the local church, Pastor Tillman serves as Community Development Director at Greater Valley Community Services and is the Founder and Program Director of James Project. Across ministry and community leadership, her work reflects a consistent calling to strengthen families, develop people, advocate for those who need a voice, and help others understand who they are and whose they are in God.
